This morning, we met up with my friend Anne and her son Zoltan at a classic Sacramento children's institution: Fairytale Town. I think we've visited Fairytale Town at least 20 times! (Hmmm... maybe I should have bought that family membership.) It's basically a giant playground with a nursery rhyme/fairytale theme.

Zoltan goes down the slide at Owl's House.
We learned that Zoltan likes tractors, but...
he thinks trains are WAY better.
Down the rabbit hole!
After Fairytale Town, we were off to another Sacramento gem - Osakaya - for their shaved ice. If you've never had shaved ice, you're really missing out. It's definitely better than a snowcone any day. Instead of granules of hard ice, the cone is made of soft, shaved ice that immediately melt in your mouth. Osakaya also has the best mochi in Northern California but today was definitely a shaved ice day.
Vivi is eyeing her strawberry shaved ice... Can you believe that's a small?
That's my scrumdillyumptious grape shaved ice (with a bite already taken out of the top!).
Oh yum.
